System requirements
Plan workstation capacity up front so render timelines, overlays, and compare views stay fluid. Requirements are dependant on pcap sizes. Larger pcaps need more resources, while smaller pcaps can run on almost anything.
Minimum profile
- Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 (64-bit) with current security patches.
- 4 physical CPU cores (Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5) and 8 GB RAM.
- GPU not required; WebGL 2.0 capable graphics preferred for larger graphs.
- 200 MB free disk for the installer plus space for capture archives. (Dependant on data capture sizes)
- 1920×1080 display; set Windows scaling to ≤100% for crisp overlays.
Recommended for heavy projects
- Windows 11 23H2, NVMe storage, and a wired network for faster capture ingestion.
- 8+ physical cores (Core i7 / Ryzen 7) with 16–32 GB RAM when comparing multi-GB captures.
- GPU with WebGL 2.0 / DirectX 12 Ultimate and 1 GB VRAM.
- 27″ display at 1440p or higher for more complex dataflow.
- Recent NVIDIA / AMD drivers to keep WebGL layers stable.
Deploying inside a VM? Enable GPU passthrough or vGPU, and reserve at least 8 GB RAM plus 2 GB VRAM so the WebGL renderer stays hardware accelerated.
